Azure Cloud: Create first Azure SQL Database for QA environment.

Login into your Azure Subscription. Search for ‘SQL Database’.

Search for SQL database.

Create SQL database.

Create SQL database.

Provide following information for your SQL instance.

Wait for the deployment to finish.
Then you can go to your resource group and find out the SQL database server you have just deployed into Azure Cloud.

Copy the SQL server name and user details from the Azure portal.

Install SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the Azure SQL database instance.

Trying log in into the your SQL instance.

You will encounter the new Firewall rule error so click on the firewall rules in the overview for your SQL server within the Resource group. Or You can configure the Public Networking settings as shown below.

Create new firewall rules for your broadband connection or ask VPN range if working from office!

Connect again using the credential defined earlier.

SQL Database is ready to be used via Microsoft SQL Management Studio.

Note: Do not forget to drop the database server from Azure portal.
